Do Indian universities accept the original IB transcript?

Im an IB alumini and currently a first year student at LSR, Delhi University. Before the results are to announce there are a whole lot of things that an IB student needs to get in place, specially the Indian students. This is because most of the government colleges dont understand what IB is. Id applied to Delhi University (DU) and Mumbai University (MU) for undergraduate program and this is how things there work- Delhi University Although on papers DU recognises IB as a +2 course, however it becomes difficult when you actually go and apply to various colleges for admission. When I went for my admission (on 7th July), I didnt have my original transcript of IB. This is because the results were announced just a day before. However, as my college had been taking IB students over the years and is known for highest IB students acceptance among DU colleges, I didnt face any problems related to the transcript. They checked my results online and admitted me. (But they required documents like character certificate, provisional certificate etc) On the other hand, in the case of other DU colleges ( my friends went for admission there ) they faced a lot many issues. At first, they were asked to get an original report card. After convincing them about the late result announcement issue there were other requirements that came up. They required an Indian transcript (where the points are converted into percentages) and undertaking signed by our school principle and a whole lot of things. Overall, it depends to college to college. Their requirements vary. Mumbai University Before applying to MU, it is important for every foreign board student to get a Prima Facie certificate from the University. For this, the student has to go to the university by himself/herself with their marksheets. Also, its better if you go a month or 2 before because the certificate takes a while to come. This is only one requirement you have to be careful about while applying to MU. And yes, on a positive side they accept predicted scores.
