How do I apply to US universities as an international student if my?
OK Most people apply to college when they are in their last year of high school. Therefore, your school cant be shut-down if you are attending it. However, if you took a few years off, and your school disappeared, then you are screwed in the American vernacular. You must check with the local government in your country to see where the records of that school are now stored. You may have to get a lawyer to assist you in getting formal copies of your transcript and they will have to be sent to the colleges by your lawyer or other trusted person. You will need a letter from the local government agency that describes the issues surrounding that school closing. As for letters of recommendation, what were you doing during those years after graduating from high school? Those are the people who can provide you with a letter of recommendation. Otherwise, you may have to attend a community college in the USA or the equivalent in your country, for two years to demonstrate your maturity as a person and your academic prowess as as student and then transfer into a very good four year university as a junior. Good luck.
