How do I get Anna University transcripts?
Procedure for Affiliated Colleges I recently applied transcripts for my sister (Offline) and most of what I found in the Anna University website were not really that accurate. So here is exactly what you have to do (As on Dec 2019). Gather the following documents One copy of +2 Certificate / 10th Certificate for Date of Birth proof One copy of ID proof ( I used Aadhar ) One demand draft in favor of Controller of Examinations, Anna University, Chennai - 600 25 for an amount of 750*n where n is the number if copies you want. (That is 750 for 1, 1500 for 2, 2250 for 3 etc.,). In case you dont know how to get one, go to your bank, Ask for DD and read this third point. Theyll give you one. One passport size photo If you got your degree certificate, take n copies (where n is the number of transcripts you need) of your degree certificate. Only those who havent received their degree certificates yet can substitute it with their provisional certificate One copy of your consolidated mark list ( The single sheet with all your grades from all he semesters). Only those who havent received this yet can use their semester mark lists instead One A4 size cloth cover (courier cover) Take a pen with you If someone else is collecting the transcripts on behalf of the student, the student has to write a simple letter authorizing the other person to collect on their behalf and the one who is collecting has to take this letter and a copy of their ID proof with them. Now that you have everything, go to the Anna University Guindy campus (Not sure about other parts of the state) and ask the security guard for the transcripts department. Theyll point you to the third entrance. Get a form there, fill it and submit it. Just takes a couple of hours. And yeah their lunch timings are 1.30pm to 2.00pm. So plan accordingly. Upon submission, they say that youll get a letter or a sms form the university when the transcripts are ready. But chances are you wont. So make a not of their contact number and ring them up 12 - 14 days from you submission. Usually the process takes around 10 - 15 working days.
