How do universities make sure that student transcripts are legit?

But Ill touch on each.The transcripts of college graduates are only sent with the written request of the graduates and only to those graduate schools or prospective employers that the students indicate. The same holds true for students seeking to transfer from one college or university to another. Likewise, high school transcripts are sent only to institutions, undergraduate colleges, trade schools and prospective employers at the specific request of the students or graduates. All of the aforementioned transcripts, requested by students, are deemed official only when signed and sealed (bonded) by the academic institution issuing the documents.
