My degree's transcript and certificate are from different?
Ask each departments graduate admissions office what they want. But as a general rule I recommend sending both documents, and carefully explaining the discrepancy in your cover letter/application statement. (Or more accurately, ask each university to send official copies of their documentation directly to each department.) You should be aware that in the United States, diplomas/certificates carry exactly zero legal weight, unless they are sent directly from the institution; theyre simply too easy to fake. You may need to ask one or both universities to send proof that you completed your degree, directly to the departments that you are applying to. (Many graduate programs do accept unofficial documentation while making admissions decisions, with the understanding that applicants will have official documentation sent if they are admitted.)
