With the change in WES policy to get the transcripts and degree copy?
I will explain it with an example. Suppose you are working in Delhi and you have graduated from VTU Belgaum. So you want WES evaluation to be done. Here are the steps Step 1(Apply for WES verification online) Login in WES website and apply online for WES evaluation. Pay fees online. It may cost around 1200016000 INR for evaluation and changes according to currency rate. After that, you will get a WES reference number(an acknowledgement number that your online application is received). Also, it is an unique identifier number so that WES identifies that the documents are yours. Print it. It is also called as WES request form. Step 2(Arrange documents to get transcript from University) Get a clear colored copy of your degree certificate and write WES reference number on it. Download and print VTU transcript application form from VTU website and fill it accordingly. Also there will be a column to fill where the transcript is to be sent. Please write WES address in this column Pay fees for VTU transcript application through a link in VTU website online. It cost you around Rs.500. for VTU transcript and Rs.1500 for postage charges to send transcript from University to WES. Pay both. Print the payment receipts also. Step 3(Put all your documents in envelope to send to university) Put the degree certificate copy , your VTU transcript application form, your payment receipts for VTU transcript and postage charge, your WES request form obtained from step 1 in a A3 or A4 sized envelope and send it via speed post from Delhi to VTU Belgaum(Registrar Evaluation). Preferably also include a request letter in the envelope for what purpose you need it, what all documents the university need to send to WES(You need to send only your degree certificate copy and the sealed envelope from University containing transcript) and also instruction to write your WES reference number on the transcript and sealed envelope sent from university. Even though, university knows what to do, it is better to write one request letter to make it clear. Step 4(Waiting time) Now it is upto University to send your official transcript and degree certificate in sealed envelope to WES. So wait for 2030 days and check your status by logging into WES website. By that time, WES will put an evaluation report of your degree certificate by now. The advantage of this method is, the University will send your degree certificate copy, your transcript in sealed envelope from University to WES directly. In this case, you can save postal charges, because if the University sends transcript directly to WES and you send your degree certificate from your side, it will cost double the amount, may be around 3000 Rs. whereas, here you have to pay only Rs.1500 to send everything and that too University sends it. Also, you can do this, all from your place where you are staying, no need to go to University to get this document. So you can save travel cost and time. P.S- Please keep in mind that this process is only for VTU. It may not be applicable to all universities in India.
