If a university were to close, what would happen to alumni?
If the school was accredited by one of the 6 regional accrediting agencies, their closure plan must include some way for their student records to be stored and for transcripts be provided to their students and alumni. Most often another local university will become custodian of these records. In some states, the state licensing agency will also be involved.
