Is a transfer certificate the same as a transcript?

If I 'm not wrong GTU stands for Gujrat Technological University. Transfer certificate is a certificate issued to a student on his request by the in charge of the institution ie. College or School when the student wants to leave that institution. The transfer certificate has in it personal details of the student mentioned in it and states the date of birth of the student as per the record of the said institute, when and which course the student studied in the institution, the last class passed or failed and further certifies that the said student has paid all his dues to the institution and is not a defaulter. It also has mentioned in the name of the mother and the name of the father and the occupation of the family as per its records. Whereas, a transcript is a copy of a student's permanent academic record, which usually means all course taken, all grades received, all honours received and degrees conferred to a student from the first day of school to the current school year. A transcript may also contain the number of people in a class, and the average grade of the class. An official transcript is prepared and sent by the issuing school usually by the student registrar with an original signature of a school official on the school letterhead and is sealed by the school. When students are thinking about changing schools, the cumulative transcripts get mailed from school to school. ```Transcripts usually consist of grades 9-12 when applying to colleges. Transcripts are most often issued and used at the high school (grades 9-12) and university levels.```
