Is it possible for one to be able to get into a good American?

I strongly believe that although GPA and transcript is important when it comes to getting a PhD it is not in any way the deciding factor. For PhD research interest and potential in your chosen field is of utmost importance. If you have a stellar GPA and transcripts BUT have no proof of research potential, then its of no use. However if you have an average transcript but a decent proof of an ability to do meaningful research, this will greatly help you get in a good PhD program. Good Luck!
