Why do some universities require transcripts directly from other?
Because unfortunately, people cheat. They forge transcripts, which are easier to forge than many other documents. Or people get an official transcript and alter the grades. Im sure you wouldnt do this, but others have and do. By getting te transcript directly from the other institution, they can preserve the integrity and genuineness of the document.
