Do universities really check the authenticity of transcripts from?
From my experience the only transcripts universities really care about are the ones they get directly from the previous institutions. While you may be able to get your application started with copies you supply, nothing will be taken seriously until they get the original transcripts sent directly to them from the other institutions youre trying to transfer credits from. So no - they dont really check the authenticity of transcripts. Because the only transcripts that really matter to them are the official ones sent directly to them which they know to be authentic.
